Keiming
Keiming is a centuries-old painting technique. The painter applies a thin, lime plaster coat to the brick facade with a glue brush or block brush. This layer protects the facade from moisture and other weather influences yet is still vapour permeable. Small surface irregularities can be easily hidden which is why this technique is often used during facade renovation or refurbishment. However, this technique can also be used in new construction.
You can also obtain this effect with cemented bricks. These bricks are pre-finished at the factory, which makes them look like keimed brick.
