Cladding facades with cut brick slips is a sustainable and ecological alternative to the use of traditional bricks. They allow you to use the same number of bricks to cover a greater area, while leaving ample room for insulation. Brick slips are already a smart, sleek structural choice, but can be even more environmentally friendly.

Moulded brick slips

Our unique Moulded brick slips go one step further than cut brick slips in terms of efficiency. They are not cut from full bricks, but moulded and fired as slips. This helps to reduce material loss and consumption of raw materials and energy. New produced brick slips offer a three-way win: ecologically, aesthetically, and cost-effectively.

How are brick slips made?

Brick slips are either cut down from whole bricks or manufactured as slips. All Vandersanden bricks can be cut down into slips, this process is carried out in factory controlled conditions.

We also have a range of Moulded brick slips, so called because instead of being cut from full bricks are the slips are formed in special moulds using far less clay material and fired as slips.

Do brick slips offer the same strength and quality as regular bricks?

We saw our brick slips directly from the brick, preserving the qualitative characteristics. That's why our brick slips are just a as freeze-resistant as our bricks, with the same compressive strength.
