A trowel is a hand tool for a mason. IT is used to scoop out and apply cement. The trowel is used to spread the cement on the bricks and remove any excess. A trowel looks like a triangle with a handle.
These are new bricks designed to resemble reclaimed bricks. Both bricks and clay pavers can be tumbled, resulting in a slightly rougher texture than aged bricks as they are tumbled after firing.
During the tumbling process, the bricks or pavers are placed in a drum where they collide, causing the edges and corners to roughen.. A mortar paste is sprayed onto the surface of the brick or paver to enhance their weathered appearance.
Using tumbled bricks creates a characterful and rustic look to facades or paving, whilst retaining the quality of new bricks.
