The R-value is the thermal resistance of a material.

The higher the R-value, the more resistance the material offers to cold/heat and therefore the better it insulates.

Residuals are clay residues from our brick production process. Unfired residuals (unused or surplus clay) are added back into the clay recipe. Fired residuals are ground into chamotte, which we reuse to make clay.

The reveal is the sides of the wall opening on the outside of a door or window frame. In architecture, the reveal can be used to influence the shadow and depth effects in a facade. When one speaks of a deep reveal, it means that the frame is set back considerably from the surface of the facade.

The side of a facade that runs directly along a window or door profile. The reveal often consists of just the brick headers at a window, but it can also extend to the depth of a full brick length or more.
