Grey brickwork is a favourite choice for architects seeking to create a distinctively classic design, that can also feel effortlessly cool and contemporary. We are able to offer an extensive range of grey bricks due to the abundance of Westerwald clay, a natural white baking clay of the Westerwald region in the western part of Germany. A careful mixture of different firing techniques, addition of natural pigments and specific sand types for surface covering combine to achieve the desired colour.

Cool greys are the ultimate design staple for creating elegant modern facades. With a base of natural white clay, Quartis is a single uniform cool grey hue, whilst Lima and Rega are both multi-tone with subtle light and dark accents. New for 2021 – Bivio is a multi-grey, facing brick with shades of white and contrasting darker grey tones.

If your project requires a little more warmth, our 100% natural warm greys can provide a facade in harmony with surroundings. Platina and Leto are both welcoming homogenous greys. Both Cortona and Lithium are varied multi-tone warm greys, with Cortona offering a more subtle diversity of tones than the higher contrast of the hugely popular Lithium facing brick.
