From clay extraction to the management and reuse of public spaces, clay paving has a low environmental impact throughout its lifecycle. It starts with the raw material itself: river clay. The extraction of clay also contributes to the creation of new natural areas and biodiversity. Since 2000, we have helped create more than 1,800 hectares of new nature areas through this process. River clay is a renewable raw material, and clay pavers also offer excellent opportunities for reuse thanks to their long lifespan.

The low environmental impact of pavers

Sooner or later, every public space needs to be opened up. Sewers may need replacing, fibre optic cables may need to be installed, or underground infrastructure may require adjustments as part of the transition to renewable energy. 

Clay pavers are designed with this future in mind. Compared with many other paving materials, they are easy to remove and reuse. Their exceptional average lifespan of 135 years also ensures a long-lasting solution.
