That way, you ensure optimal colour distribution right from the start.
2. Check and double-check
We do our utmost to deliver your material correctly, but mistakes can happen. So, don't hesitate to double-check our delivery: do the colour, size and article code match your order? Is everything intact? Please let us know if we have missed something before processing the bricks, so we can take immediate action.
3. Create the most beautiful colour shades
Dry weather is perfect for bricklaying because it keeps the bricks perfectly dry. For a nice spread of colours, use bricks from at least three different packs. Also try to keep an eye on the colour ratio, for a façade with natural shades.
4. Not too wet, not too dry
Bricklaying with wet bricks is never a good idea. The same goes for mortar that contains too much water; the excess water will prevent the mortar from adhering properly. If you follow the product instructions for preparing the mortar, you should be fine. Not too wet nor too dry, as the latter will also cause insufficient adhesion.
5. Protect from wind and weather
Fresh masonry is sensitive to water. Therefore, protect it with a layer of plastic at the end of the working day. Do the same with the delivered bricks that still have to be processed. Once they are saturated with water, they need to dry out completely before you can process them further.
