Vandersanden awarded Gold Label as Best Managed Company for third time in a row

Spouwen-Bilzen, May 12, 2023 - Brick manufacturer Vandersanden received the prestigious Gold Label on Thursday evening for the third year in a row, an accolade for the sixth consecutive year that the family-owned company has retained the Best Managed Companies label. Among other things, the judges praised the company's efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and its ambitions in the area of Collective Wellbeing. "We are immensely proud of this recognition. It shows that those who actively invest in the future and are motivated to make those extra efforts will also see the results of this," said Rudi Peeters, CEO of Vandersanden.

Vandersanden, Europe's largest brick-producing family company, was awarded the prestigious Gold Label for a third consecutive time on Thursday evening at Deloitte Gateway in Zaventem. That recognition marks the sixth consecutive year that the family-owned company has won the Best Managed Companies award. The Best Managed Companies award is given by Deloitte to sustainable and resilient Belgian private companies that succeed in combining a clear strategy, excellence in craftsmanship, commitment and sustainable growth.

Praised for sustainable efforts and employee welfare

Among other things, the jury praised Vandersanden for the brick producer's efforts to reduce its CO2 emissions by, for example, installing solar panels and wind turbines and expanding its electric vehicle fleet. According to the jury, Vandersanden is a leading organisation achieving the transition to sustainability in a traditional market and has faced the energy crisis in a strong way. The family-owned company's efforts for the well-being and development of its employees was also well received. Furthermore, the jury praised the family company's ambitions in terms of Collective Wellbeing, which is reflected in the family company's prominent sustainability commitment and reporting.
