This is who we are

Vandersanden is a family-run company and one of Europe’s largest producers of bricks. We produce facing bricks, pavers, and brick slips and provide solutions for facades and streetscapes.

Together we build greatness

Our motivations are craftsmanship, co-creation, being innovative, and sustainability. We interact closely with designers, developers, and construction companies to identify solutions that inspire and unite and that enhance and safeguard collective well-being. This is a major social responsibility that helps us to contribute to an environment that people want to be a part of. We don’t create functionality – street, square, facade, pavement, garden – but facilitate liveability.

Together we build greatness – and we fully believe we do. But how can we create living environments whilst also sparing the planet? By using and reusing sustainable materials and going full in on energy saving and solutions that minimise the impact on our environment. It’s a quest, and Vandersanden wants to be there at the front. All of our activities, across production sites and sales offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and the UK, aim to build a sustainable and liveable future.

Mission: the essence of who we are

Vandersanden is the ultimate partner when it comes to beautiful facades and streets. Whatever we do, we always put family values at the heart.

Vision: our ambition

Vandersanden seeks to be the most customer-oriented company in the facade and street solutions market. We want to evolve within the industry to become the point of reference for innovation and sustainability for the environment, society, and our employees.

We seek to have a positive impact on quality of life by helping to create attractive, healthy, and safe communities, both for now and the future.

History: our roots

Jaak Vandersanden opened a small brickworks in Spouwen in 1925. His son Constant expanded the company after the Second World War to become one of Belgium’s leading enterprises, with a series of takeovers, capacity expansions, and a programme of modernisation.

With the third generation at the helm, Vandersanden is now an international player, with operations in most of Europe. Today, Vandersanden is the largest family-owned producer of bricks in Europe, employing more than 700 people and with an annual turnover of more than 200 million Euros.
