Vandersanden awarded for being the fastest growing enterprise in 2008

On 30th April Vandersanden Brickwork was elected for being the fastest growing enterprise in its region and was proud to receive the Award “Trends Gazelles Ambassador 2008”. A Gazelles Ambassador stands for passionate entrepreneurship, boosts the competitive capacity in their region and thus influences the investment climate in a positive way.

"Trends Gazelles"
Every year, the Belgian financial-economic magazines Trends and Trends-tendencies go looking for the “Trends Gazelles”. “Gazelles” are fast growing companies who contribute in a large way to the economic dynamics of their region. They are sources of energy for innovation, stimulate the employment and often are an inspiring role model for other (younger) companies.


Selection procedure
The selection is conducted based on an analysis of all companies in the Belgian Top 100,000, whereby the growth of the turnover, the number of employees and the cash flow are looked at.

Excellent figures
Last year, Vandersanden realised a turnover of 63 million, a cash flow of 19 million and a growth of almost 19% in one year.

Zero: an innovation in brick for joint-free brickwork

Vandersanden innovates, and introduces no less than 8 new colours in its range of hand made facing bricks. With these new colours, Vandersanden meets the demand for a more extensive colour choice.

Exclusive facade colours
People, who are building or renovating, want to express their own mark on their building. A unique ‘touch’ can easily be obtained with the design, the facade materials or use of colour. Vandersanden takes advantage of this by introducing no less than 8 new colours in its range of hand made facing bricks, divided over the Attitude, Impulse and Nostalgia series.

Attitude-series: clean, uniform colours, perfectly suited for modern architecture.
*Leto: dark grey
*Quartis: light metallic grey

Impulse-series: shaded modern colours
*Cortona: grey shaded anthracite
*Carbon: blue shaded black-purple
*Sao Paulo: bronze-brown shaded

Nostalgia-series: aged colours are produced according to a patented aging process. The aging takes place before the baking, and this means the bricks qualify for a CE-marking.
*Old Blanckaert: soft yellow-grey shaded
*Old Halewijn: orange-red shaded with beige
*Old Hekelgem: orange-red shaded with white

A new logo reflecting our key values

Vandersanden proudly presents a new logo. Not a complete innovation, but an addition to the familiar logo including a statement of our key values, sc. “Creating Quality Bricks”. With this new logo, we increase our well-known company’s identity and give it an extra boost.

“Creating quality bricks” or “the creative handling of bricks, and providing optimal quality”, best reflect some of our key values. Moreover, Vandersanden wants to expand his export-activities in the future and create a more distinct profile on an international level. Therefore, the new logo is a perfect fit for this strategy.
The name Vandersanden carries a young and motivated team that continually pursues optimal quality and continuous innovation… Alongside this, our goal is to respond in a flexible way to the unsettled needs of the market. All these factors contribute to the strenght of our company.
